Significance : We invoke the energy characteristic of God in the form of universal mother generally referred to as “Durga”, “Devi”, “Shakti”. It is the energy which helps God to proceed with the work of creation, preservation & destruction.
Why Twice a Year : Both the Navratris are celebrated when Mother Nature undergoes important junctures of climate change because durations of a day and a night in India are almost equal during March to April and September to October and at these two junctures nature maintains equilibrium between climatic change and solar influence.
